Everything about this kit is well-designed, top quality, sturdy and no-nonsense. The rockets themselves are impressively large and, given that the rocket motors are basically scaled-down versions of the Space Shuttle solid rocket boosters, launches are loud, fiery, smokey and startling!
Of course you need a large launch/recovery area or you will likely lose your rocket (no big deal with a $10 Estes rocket, but these rockets aren't cheap). Some of the AeroTech rocket kits can only be launched with permission of local authorities due to weight/altitude specifications. Another nice feature is AeroTech sells re-loadable motors, so you can choose to only pay for the solid fuel refills per launch if you don't mind doing a little work yourself.
